Smoking and Strokes the Facts

A person suffers from a stroke due to blockage in the flow of blood to the brain. This is the major reason for a stroke. Now, the question is how is this connected to smoking? Well, indeed it is related to the smoking because regular smoking can result in narrowing down of the arteries which results in blood clotting and various blockages. Let us find some facts related to smoking and its effect in form of strokes:
1. Smoking results in high blood pressure which is considered to be a warning before strokes. Many people die every year because of smoking.
2. As per the research and reports, smokers actually tripe up their chances of stroke as compared to non smokers.
3. Smoking related strokes can cause severe disabilities. After strokes related to smoking, a person can suffer in various manners. A person might suffer from paralyses, speech problems, learning and remembering problems.
It is important to note here that the paralyses due to stroke can be short term as well as long term. In any way, a person suffers from stroke and it can be easily avoided by quitting the habit of smoking. Smoking has never done any good to anyone.
