Are there Ways to Stop Cravings?

Cravings relate to habits that cannot be easily avoided. People are generally habituated to take up certain activities that are results of craving. Once a habit is developed, it may be difficult to stop craving for various parameters in that habit. Smoking is one such craving which is highly difficult to be avoided. A person who develops the habit of smoking has developed a craving for smoking as well. Any attempt to isolate the person from this craving would trigger unusual behavior in them. It’s quite difficult to prevent that person to stop pursuing that activity in future. Nevertheless there are different solutions for different types of cravings found among people. For instance if someone wants to avoid the craving for smoking, there are ways that could help them quit smoking for life. The ways include medical as well as other scientific types which may also include psychologically programming the person to stop smoking or stop that craving for smoking. Some types of cravings are quite easy to be avoided and can be seen diminishing with age whereas some of the cravings grow stronger with age and as such may require extensive counseling to be alienated from the person afflicted by them.
