Smoking is a dangerous habit that not only degrades the health of those directly involved in smoking but also those who are at vicinity to the smoke emanated during smoking. Once taken up, it is highly difficult to quit smoking. Smoking is responsible for cancerous growth of various types in the body which occurs due to the residue left after smoking that contains harmful substances. Those who breathe the air containing suspensions of chemicals emanated from this smoke, they are also prone to experience various kinds of diseases which in some cases may be more dangerous compared to the one experienced by the actual smoker. Though quitting smoking is quite a tough task it is not an impossible one. Those planning to quit smoking can do it in several ways. They can find harmless alternatives to cigarettes or minimize the quantity of smoking gradually or take up counseling so as to quit smoking. During the process of quitting smoking, one would be prompted to take up smoking again and again which is a mental weakness and hence one needs to be mentally determined to quit smoking. Quitting smoking is good for health not only for self but for others as well and also the environment.
