Quit smoking hypnosis: Pros and Cons

Smoking has many ill-effects. There are many therapies and drugs created to help smokers quit smoking. But not many have been meted with much of a success. One such therapy in limelight is the hypnotic therapy. There is a hint of awe and mysticism that accompanies with this form of therapy to help one quit smoking. But this form comes with both advantages and disadvantages.
The advantage of hypnosis is that if it works, it eliminates the desire of smoking from root level. Hypnosis has a direct effect on one’s sub-conscious mind. One you overcome the desire of smoking with the help of hypnosis, it is unlikely that you will ever succumb to your desire of smoking.  
But again, there is also a lot of baggage that comes with the hypnosis itself. There are many vendors that claim to help one quit smoking via hypnosis. But this therapy, if not performed properly can have dangerous effects on one’s mindsets. It is as good as saying that during this therapy, it is someone else who has a complete control over your mind and body. This can lead to dangerous consequences.
All in all, hypnosis as a therapy to quit smoking should only be undertaken after proper consultation of professionals.
