Though initially the quitter may experience certain symptoms associated with the withdrawal, there are several steps that he or she could use to lessen the withdrawal symptoms. One could lessen the withdrawal symptoms by taking up a walk whenever they feel the urge to smoke. One may also try swimming or going to a gym for an exercise whenever there are instances of urge to smoke. By doing so they are prohibiting the thought of smoking which would slowly diminish with time. It should be noted that withdrawal symptoms become weaker with time. Though there are certain medical prescriptions in this category, they are generally not recommendable. It is the will power and determination that speaks of the success of the withdrawal. |
