How can you quit smoking with help of vitamins?

Vitamins have proven to be extremely effective in quitting smoking. Not only do you need good levels of various vitamins in the body for its normal functioning, but they also have various functions like damage control due to smoking, curbing the cravings for smoking, and preventing the body from getting addicted to smoking. It helps reduce the various withdrawal symptoms which happen when you try quitting smoking. Almost all vitamins play a significant role in quitting smoking. Here is a brief description of some of them - Vitamin A is an antioxidant and neutralizes the oxidizing effects which result from smoking. Green leafy vegetables, carrots and yellow fruits are rich sources of this vitamin. Vitamin B: There are various vitamins which fall under this category and are usually called the B-complex. They are also available as supplements with the same name. Vitamin C, as discussed above, is very helpful in quitting smoking and is found in abundance in citrus fruits like oranges, lemons, limes and gooseberries. Vitamin E also has antioxidant properties and helps smokers in physiological ways to quit smoking. It is found in sweet potatoes and sunflower seeds. These vitamins can also be taken in the form of supplements.
