Chantix interactions with other drugs

Chantix has negative reaction to towards a number of drugs. If you are taking Chantix in combination with drugs, you need to careful about its side effects properly. If you are taking Chantix in combination with Cimetidine, it might increase the level of chantix in your blood and make you vulnerable towards several negative side effects of Chantix. Chantix can interact with the drugs used for kidney and other renal disorders.  Similarly, some of the drugs used for treating cardio vascular diseases can hamper the efficiency and chantix and create negative side effects.  During pregnancy, use of Chantix can create drug--drug interaction and create a number of complications. Hence, going for chantix on your own is never a wise idea. You need to consult your doctor and make him aware regarding your current physical status and the medications you are going through.
